Content included fly pasts from the Waddington based E-3 Sentry and Nimrod R1, displays from Harrier, Tornado, Jaguar, Red Arrows, Team Orlik, Merlin, Typhoon and BBMF.
One of the few remaining airshows on a current RAF base, RAF Cosford is the home to the Royal Air Force No 1 School of Technical Training, the Aerosystems Engineering and Management Training School and No 1 Radio School. Cosford is also home to the Royal Air Force Museum.
Highlights included Tornado, Harrier, Sea Hawk, Sea Fury and Eurofighter Typhoon.
The Shuttleworth Collection is one of the best kept secrets of the UK airshow scene. A unique flight line coupled with period aircraft displayed with panache, a beautiful location, and a collection of historic vehicles and buildings gives the impression that one has stepped back in time into a quintessential English garden party.

One of the highlights of The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) is departure day, providing an alternative view of the aircraft that had arrived for static display.

Located at the home of the RAF’s Nimrod and E-3 Sentry, the RAF Waddington airshow, is probably the largest RAF airshow left on the calendar.
Highlights included the Red Arrows, BBMF, Tornado, Hunter, Frecce Tricolori, Sea Harrier, Patrulla Aguila, and P-3 Orion.
Duxford themed the air display around the 60th anniversary of D-Day, June 6th 1944 Operation Overlord, where the allies landed in Normandy, France during WW2.
Highlights included display acts not often seen at Duxford including Boeing E-3 Sentry, Panavia Tornado F3 and Hawker Siddeley Nimrod.
Another sea front air display (well Thames estuary actually). I decided to try a different vantage point and opted to join an organised boat trip that moored out in the estuary. Unfortunately vantage points were quite restricted.
