A small but characterful airfield in Northamptonshire. Whilst the flightline is compact, viewing is surprisingly good. The only detracting factor is the poor access and car parking.
Departures day at RIAT, in my view, is the best opportunity to view and photograph the aircraft that attended for static display.

A fantastic morning spent with Chuck Gardner at Warbird Adventures at Kissimmee, learning basic aerobatics in the T-6 Texan.
Great holiday in central Florida provided the perfect opportunity to revisit Fantasy of Flight but also to travel slightly further afield and take in Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum in Titusville, Florida Air Museum and Kermit Weeks’ reserve collection at Lakeland Airport.
Departure day at RIAT provides a chance to see the majority of the attendees under power and taking flight.
The world’s largest military air show turned its attention to naval aviation, in particular the soon to be retired Sea King, but also featured the F/A-18 Hornet, Harrier, Rafale, and Hawk.
