RIAT 2005 finally witnessed blue skies and soaring temperatures to complement displays from the world’s military forces.
Displays included the F-16 (USAF & Dutch), Mirage 2000, F-18 Hornet, FRADU, DHL 757, B-1B, Hunter, Frecce Tricolori, and from the RAF: Tornado, Jaguar, Merlin, Tucano, Typhoon, Chinook, Hawk and Red Arrows with Spitfires.
The Fighter Collection at Duxford again host Europe’s largest warbird air display.
Highlights included the BBMF, Saab B17, 2 x Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, 2 x B-25 Mitchell, P-51C Mustang “Princess Elizabeth”.
The RAF’s premier airshow.
Content included fly pasts from the Waddington based E-3 Sentry and Nimrod R1, displays from Harrier, Tornado, Jaguar, Red Arrows, Team Orlik, Merlin, Typhoon and BBMF.
