Video: A Spitfire Bird

Having only watched the 1943 film “First of the Few” featuring Leslie Howard and David Niven, I was staggered when I stumbled across the track “Spitfire” by Public Service Broadcasting.  The track features samples taken from the dialogue of the film, whose plot is based around the development of the Vickers Supermarine Spitfire, and the roles/relationships of the chief designer, R J Mitchell, and chief test pilot, Geoffrey Crisp.

Listening to their tracks whilst sorting through my photo archives for the creation of my new website, www.tastedflight.com, inspired me to create a simple slideshow to the track.  Having purchased the MacBookPro with Touchbar in December, I was keen to put it through its paces using Final Cut Pro X, an application I have rarely used, and therefore I had the perfect excuses and subject matter to explore the possibilities available.

I hope you enjoy, slick it is not! but I hope the photos stack up against an excellent soundtrack.
