Airshow: Duxford September 2014
I have never witnessed such large crowds both within the airfield and in the surrounding fields at Duxford before, such was the pulling power of the opportunity to witness a pair of Avro Lancasters flying in formation together. Even though the weather didn’t play ball, with a grey murky cloud base and poor light descending in the hour leading up to their display, it did not detract from the spectacle.
Additional displays featured Spitfires, Great War Display Team, RAF Tucano and Sea King, Hunter, Jet Provosts and usually a Boeing 727 pollution control aircraft.
