Airshow: RIAT 2001

Shots from the Sunday display and Monday departures days at The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), the world’s largest military air show, temporarily hosted at RAF Cottesmore.

Highlights of the display included a tribute to Air Vice Marshall Johnnie Johnson in the form of 3 Harriers and Spitfire performing a missing man manoeuvre.

Displays included 5 x Hawker Hunters, Romanian MiG-21, USAF B-2 Spirit and B-1, Patrouille de France, Polish Team Oskra and RAF’s Red Arrows.
